The Monti Palace Hotel is located at 185 Via Cavour, in the heart of Rome’s historic centre, just steps away from the Colosseum, the Imperial Forum, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and Piazza Venezia; the city's most famous shopping thoroughfares are also nearby. The “Cavour” stop on Metro Line B is just 10 metres from the hotel, and the Roma Termini railway station — the city's main hub for train and air travel — is just 10-minutes away on foot.
By car
From the A1 motorway heading towards Rome from Northern Italy, exit at Roma Nord - Settebagni, and continue along Via Salaria towards Roma Centro. From Southern Italy, exit at Roma Est, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare, and follow Via Appia towards San Giovanni Centro, then follow the signs for Via Cavour. The Monti Palace is conveniently situated outside the limited traffic zone, allowing for unrestricted access. We recommend avoiding the electronic gates of the limited traffic zone (ZTL), and ignoring any shortcuts suggested by GPS, as we are not able to have any resulting fines waived. By plane
For private airport transfers, please contact our Reception — rates vary depending on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage. Public taxis are available at either a fixed rate or metered fare from both the Leonardo da Vinci (FCO) and G.B. Pastine (CIA) airports. It is recommended to note the name of the taxi company and the taxi number in case of lost belongings or fare disputes. From Leonardo da Vinci Airport, the Leonardo Express train departs from tracks 23 and 24 — tickets are available online, at the airport, and at the station. Various bus companies also operate services to and from the airports, including Flixbus, Terravision, and others — check their websites for prices and timetables.
By train
We are located 800 metres from the Roma Termini Central Station. To reach us you can either take a taxi or take Metro Line B towards Laurentina, and get off at the first stop: Cavour. Once arrived, simply cross the street and you’ll find the Monti Palace on your right. Tickets can be purchased using any contactless card or phone directly at the turnstiles, or else at tobacconists' shops, news stands, or the vending machines at the station.
